I hope that you will be able to start your tmux journey at a better place than I did: understanding what you put into your config file instead of copy-pasting anything that remotely look interesting without knowing what it really does. I also make sure that I understood the ones that I keep. Now that I'm older and wiser (am I? :D), I have deleted the configs that I don't need. When I started using tmux a few years ago, I copied + pasted much of my tmux config from random sites I found from the internet. I remember the times I was staring at a blank MS Word when having to write a report or a blank Strathmore Paper when having to draw a scene - it can be intimidating having to fill up your config file from a blank slate. The possibilities are endless.Įndless possibility is not always a good thing. So what can you put inside the tmux config file? Anything. It is a path to a file where you enter your own configurations so next time you launch tmux, it executes everything inside that config file. nf in the HOME path ~/.nf (technically tmux looks for /etc/nf first, then ~/.nf, but the former is best left untouched).Ī. When you start a tmux session, tmux looks for a file named. To do this, we need to configure the tmux config file. It would be nice to be able to change some of the default configs into something that are more intuitive to me, the user. There is nothing about " and % that are associable to horizontal / vertical splits. I also found commands like the split commands Prefix + " and Prefix + % are not intuitive. The letter b is positioned at a weird distance from the ctrl button. For example, I never understood why tmux uses Ctrl + b as a prefix. When you start using tmux, you may think that some of tmux's keys are not intuitive or straight-up uncomfortable to reach. It is highly recommended that you either read my previous article or are already familiar with how tmux works. No, tmux can't do your chores or make your wildest dreams come true, but tmux probably can make your wildest terminal multiplexing dreams come true :D. Whenever you thinking "Can Tmux can do that?" when reading this article, the answer is, 90% of the time, "Yes, tmux can do that!". Here you will learn useful tmux shortcuts you might not even know exist. My hope is that by exposing a list of my personal tmux configurations and my reasoning behind them, you will see a general pattern and understand it enough to make tmux your own. Here you'll learn some configurations that I use. However, in that article, I didn't cover much how to customize tmux. In the previous article, you learned how to use tmux: what tmux is, how to manage multiple terminals, and how to use tmux's powerful features. This article is part 2 of my tmux series. Configuring Your Tmux to Be Even More Awesome The kit also ships with a couple of wind-shields that you can clip straight onto the transmitters’ built-in mics, plus a very useful pair of lavalier clip mics to capture better quality audio from closer to the subject’s mouth. This instantly pairs the two transmitters with the receiver so they all work straight from the box. The Blink500 Pro B2’s charging box also has the bonus of a one-click pair button. The transmitters in the similar JOBY Wavo AIR need to be charged individually so you run the risk of having a receiver with less power than a transmitter, which could compromise a shoot. This is a fantastic feature as all three units will be fully powered and ready for a long shoot as soon as you open the case. This means you can charge all three at once in the box via its USB-C DC 5v port using USB-A chargers and battery packs. The three units fit into a protective carry case that also functions as a charger. Other similar wireless sets such as the JOBY Wavo AIR have a receiver that looks slightly different in build and colour which helps differentiate between receiver and transmitter more easily. To help identify them the transmitters have a little TX label, while the receiver is labelled RX. Each of the three units looks identical, so you could confuse the transmitters from the receiver if you were in a hurry to mic up your subjects. The key components of the Blink500 Pro B2 kit are two wireless transmitters and a receiver. You can clip a wind shield directly onto a transmitter’s built-in mic. If you are paper filing the return, attach all forms you are amending along with any new supporting documentation and mail them to the address provided for your location in the Form 1040 instructions. Provide a clear explanation of your reasons for filing the Form 1040-X. Step 5: Fill out Form 1040-X according to the instructions However, if any of the original schedules you filed will change because of your amendment, then those schedules must be prepared again and attached to your Form 1040-X. You can amend the necessary forms using TurboTax's prior-year returns function, or you can search through the IRS website for a particular form. It doesn't require you to complete an entire tax return. When you prepare an amended return, the IRS only wants you to update figures that change. Step 4: Download and prepare new schedules and attachments This will allow you to recalculate your tax and to see which numbers on the original tax return will change as a result of the amendment. If you are correcting an error on your original tax return, you will need a blank copy of that particular form from the same year. Step 3: Identify the error you wish to fix You can easily find it at the IRS website. For paper-filing amended returns, download a copy of IRS Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. If you filed your return with TurboTax, log into your account and select the tax return that you want to amend and follow the online instructions. Step 2: Form 1040-Xīeginning with the 2019 tax years, amended federal returns are able to be electronically filed as long as you electronically filed the original return. It's also a good idea to have a copy of your original tax return available. If you are claiming a new deduction or credit, any document that supports your eligibility to claim it such as a receipt will be helpful. This includes any new 1099 or W-2 you receive if you under-reported your income. Fortunately, the IRS has a simple process in place that allows you to amend your tax return. Maybe you discovered a tax credit you didn't realize you qualified for, or missed a 1099 form because it came in late. Sometimes, however, new information arises after you file your tax return. You gather all your W-2s, 1099s, receipts and other documents and navigate through all of the information to get the right data on the correct schedules and forms. You do your best to file a correct tax return. You will likely have plenty of networking opportunities where people are more than willing to listen to what you have to say. But when it comes to sales, you may get the opportunity to expand your elevator pitch past 30 seconds. And in that case, you have very little time to get your message across-whether it’s text, video, or imagery. Your pitch opportunities will likely be to customers that come across your brand. When looking at pitch length based on industry, each one differs to some degree. So when it comes to a great elevator pitch, aim to keep it around 30 seconds-though the exact length can vary depending on your industry and what you’re pitching. A good rule of business etiquette is to make it as short as possible by carefully selecting the most important points.Ī study conducted by Microsoft found that the average person has an attention span of around eight seconds, meaning you’ll have to fight for that undivided attention. In most cases, it will depend on what it’s about and who you’re pitching. One of the biggest unknowns about creating sample elevator pitches is how long they should be. Choosing connections that are related to or interested in what you’re offering will give you a better chance at making your sale. When it comes to figuring out who to deliver your pitch to, you should aim for the best point of contact, not just the highest point of contact. That makes preparing for your next pitch an important step in marketing both yourself and your company. That’s because there are many different types of pitches-from interviews to new business opportunities. In reality, most people have given an elevator pitch whether they realize it or not. It’s not always an immediate benefit, but you should be prepared for any scenario in which you could be giving an elevator pitch. But a pitch can also be your chance at making a real connection that you can use later down the road. First things first: What is an elevator pitch?Īn elevator pitch, also known as an elevator speech, is an opportunity to share a quick summary of yourself and your product offerings. You'll also learn about additional operational resources to keep your business running efficiently using team collaboration tools. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned professional, our examples cover any situation you might find yourself in. We’ve put together 15 creative elevator pitch examples that will help you nail your next client meeting or virtual networking event. So how do you pitch yourself during a job interview or client meeting with authenticity? But the reality is, people want to have meaningful conversations without the forced sales pitch. A good elevator pitch can be the difference between landing your next big opportunity or falling short of the competition. setting the environment variable TERMxterm seems to resolve the issues. It is using yaml and inquirer npm packages for parsing the config yml and giving a list of themes to choose from the terminal respectively. Opening the URL into the browser directly from the terminal. when sshing into server boxes using alacritty i run into a few errors. The CLI offers 50+ Themes to choose from, an option to create your alacritty.yml config file with a simple, easy and intuitive user experience. To find the list of themes, you can visit the alacritty wiki page Any items in the env entry below will be added as environment variables. That's why I have created alacritty-themes for that. Configuration for Alacritty, the GPU enhanced terminal emulator. But when it comes to customizing colors it definitely needs an intuitive tool for the job. You can config your alacritty terminal by having a config file called alacritty.yml in your home folder like ~/.config/alacritty/alacritty.ymlĬonfiguring your terminal with yml files is definitely fun. I have been using it for a while now and I really love it. It is incredibly fast and responsive to the extent that I have replaced iterm2 with alacritty for my Macbook, my Ubuntu Laptop and my RasberryPi ArchLinux system. It currently supports macOS, Linux, BSD, and Windows. Run with live config reload enabled (can also be enabled by default in alacritty.yml): alacritty -live-config-reload -config-file path/to/config.yml tldr. Using the GPU for rendering enables optimizations that simply aren't possible without it. In this post we are going to take a look at a new CLI tool I have created for customizing colors for your alacritty terminal.Īlacritty is a cross-platform, GPU-accelerated terminal emulator written in Rust. During the last minute of churning, add the bourbon.
Luckily Saryn has the answer to that too. Remember too that every spore popped by a melee weapon adds to the melee combo counter, helping you ramp up quick.Ĭorrosive procs are great for Grineer, but pretty much worthless against Corpus. This will quickly get an enemy to the max of 10 Corrosive stacks. Spores deal Corrosive damage with a 50% chance for a Corrosive proc. Luckily, we can still get the 80% armor reduction from Corrosive from just Spores. Since the changes to Corrosive procs, Viral has become the new default for most weapons. In addition to dealing great scaling damage, Spores also has some other important bonuses. With the considerations above, and taking into account all mission types, my choice for re-completing the Star Map is Saryn. With this said, it is still possible to just one-shot them with pure crit builds (see my #1 honorable mention). You also have plenty of time to stack a ridiculous amount of heat/toxin procs. With a high status build, you can get up to max Corrosive and Viral procs quick. The last consideration is that because enemies stay alive longer, you have more time to stack statuses on them. Radiation procs, which scale offensively, lose a lot of their appeal because enemies take over 2.5x as long to kill each other their defenses out-scale their damage. Abilities that scale off of the defense of enemies scale better than those that scale off of an enemy’s offensive stats. The important distinction here is that while the damage they deal is the that of high level enemies, their defenses are much higher than their actual level. Nekros’s Shadows of the Dead (#4) scales of both the offensive and defensive attributes of the enemies he has killed.Įnemies in the Steel Path are not only 100 levels higher, but also have an additional 250% Shields, Health, and Armor. Hildryn’s Pillage (#2) scales based on the amount of armor and shields enemies have. For instance, Octavia’s Mallet (#1) scales on how much damage enemies do to it. Each of those abilities scale a bit differently though. Many Warframes have abilities that scale with the power of enemies. With all of this in mind though, some Waframes certainly outshine others. Certain mission types like Mobile Defense and Sabotage can be done using just crowd control (CC). If you need to kill enemies for the mission type, your frame will also have to have decent damage. Enemies also have a huge amount of health and defense. Enemies hit hard, so the frame will need to have at least some defense. Because of this diversity, there is no one best Warframe for every mode. Steel Path Build Considerations Mission VarietyĬompleting the Star Chart will have you do almost every type of mission that exists in Warframe (except Railjack missions).
